Refunds

Milligan Community Learning & Resource Centre (Milligan) has a refund policy to ensure that all

participants are treated equally and fairly. All decisions on refunds are at the discretion of the

Coordinator.

Cancelled Classes

Where a class or course is cancelled by Milligan, a full refund is given; or the participant may elect to

transfer the fees from a cancelled class to another class of their choice.

Cancellation by Participant

Cancellation by a participant more than one week prior to the commencement of a course will mean a

credit is given, less the amount for membership. If a participant cancels less than one week prior to

commencement of a course, they will forfeit the deposit paid (50% of course fee).

Missed Classes

Where a participant in one course requests a “make-up” class for the one missed due to their inability to

attend (and the class missed was held at the normally scheduled time) they must be refused unless:

a) The same course is being run concurrently by the same tutor and there is sufficient space

in that alternate class;

b) At the discretion of the tutor, and

c) At the discretion of the Manager / Office Manager.

Withdrawal by Participant

No refunds will be given if the participant withdraws after a class has commenced, unless exceptional

circumstances prevail. This determination is at the discretion of the Manager.

Membership Fees

Membership fee for Milligan is non-refundable. Membership to Milligan is compulsory to access any services.

The cost is $15.00 per family per year (calendar year).
