In Safe Hands

in_safe_hands_logo.jpg Milligan has been successful in securing funding to implement the In Safe  Hands Project. The aim of this project is to develop a program targeting young  people (13-17 years) and teen and young parents (14-22 years) focussed on domestic and family violence community education. The education component will be implemented as a means of preventing unhealthy relationships, which often lead to domestic or family violence.

This project is preventative in nature, focussing on community education and consultation. The aim is to target young people in the early stages of adolescent relationships. In addition there would be a component targeted to teen and young parents who are, locally, experiencing high levels of domestic violence in their relationships.
