Carrina Bradbury - Manager
"I began at Milligan in coordinator of the Bunbury Young Mums Group (2005-2007), and later the Bunbury Early Years Network (2006-2007). In March 2007, I moved into the Manager's position, which I am currently in. I love working at Milligan, because of the diversity of our programs and service users. We have a wonderful staff team, who make it a wonderful place to work. It is a fanatsic job, that has great community outcomes, which makes our work feel worthwhile."
Renae Bernardi - Assistant Manager "I moved to the Bunbury area from Collie in 2008 where I was Manager of Collie Family Centre. I began working at Milligan in June 2008 as a tutor for the computer classes. From there I took on the role as Special Projects Officer coordinating events such as the annual quiz night and Teddy Bears Picnic. During this time I have also been involved as a support worker for the In Safe Hands project which is one of Milligan’s exciting projects developed to prevent domestic violence and promote healthy relationships to young people. In November last year I took on a new experience as Assistant Manager. I love working in the heart of the community and I’m proud to be a part of such a fantastic organisation that has been a positive part of the lives of so many people in the Bunbury area."
Penelope Spurling - Adult Learning Coordinator
Alicia Hutchinson - Administration Assistant and Toy Library Coordinator "I first started working here in 2006 as a Peer Advocate collating the monthly newsletter for the young mums group. I then moved on to becoming a creche worker in 2007. In 2008 I started working as an administration assistant in the front office and in 2010 I also started as the Toy Library Coordinator. I enjoy working here because the atmosphere is great, the work we do is diverse and the staff are friendly. I think Milligan offers some fantastic programs and much needed support to the Bunbury community."
Annette Owen - Young Mums Coordinator "I first started work at Milligan three years ago when I was fortunate enough to get the position of coordinator for the Bunbury Teen & Young Mums Group. 18 months ago I also took on the role of coordinator of the project In Safe Hands, which is a program designed to prevent domestic violence and promoting healthy relationships to young people. Working both with the teenage mums and young people in a variety of settings has been a fantastic experience and I learn things from them daily. As a social worker I feel privileged to work in an environment that has such positive outcomes for it’s clients. I love working at Milligan – the projects offered are diverse, my colleagues are fantastic and supportive, and the work is challenging and fulfilling. I am proud to be associated with Milligan."
Naomi Amat - MyTime Coordinator "My passion is to assist families of children living with disability, knowing from personal experience the challenges of having a child with special needs, which during 2007 led me to my role as the MyTime Facilitator. "
Meg Ellis - Special Projects Coordinator "I first started at Milligan in 2007 as a volunteer, running the playgroup for the Young Mum’s. I then became a Peer Support Worker for the Young Mum’s in 2009, which I continue to do in conjunction with Special Projects Coordinator, which I began the beginning of 2010 Milligan is more of a family to me, than a work place. I am very proud of the ongoing input we have in the community and that I have been given the opportunity to be involved along with the centre and all our fantastic staff."
