Booking space with us is easy!
Here is the fine print, so you know what we expect and what you can expect from us!
CHARGES AND CANCELLATIONS:
If you need to cancel your booking, the following fees may apply:
Cancellation after commencement date of a recurring booking: Give us a call, let’s see what we can do.
Cancellation within 24 hours of one off booking: Full fee payable.
Cancellation more than 24 hours prior to the one off booking: No charge.
Please respect the privacy of others that may be using the centre at the same time as yourselves.
In the case of emergencies, please use the reception phone to alert the relevant authorities.

If you are required to call the police, your location is:
Milligan Community Centre, 35 Milligan Street, Carey Park, WA.
There is a Fire and Emergency Evacuation Plan in every room. These plans will show you where to find fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
The first aid kit can be located in the kitchen. Any serious accidents/incidents should be reported to Milligan staff at the first opportunity so that we can try to put measures in place so they don’t happen again. Your safety is really important to us.
Should your booking fall outside of our opening hours, please contact the team at Milligan to arrange access.
When you come to pick up a key and code, someone will show you how everything works.
When arriving, the alarm can be deactivated by entering the code given to you by staff. Alarm must be set upon leaving by pressing the “on” button. Make sure no one else is in the building before setting the alarm. If someone is still in the building, please just lock the door behind you when you leave.
Milligan staff will run through the security system with you when you collect your key.
The car park is at the front on the left side as you drive in and also at the rear of the building via Doolan Street. There is a Disabled Parking Bay at the front of Milligan. Parking on the right of the car park is not permitted during the week, weekends are fine.
Public liability is important for everyones safety. Any commercial enterprise (eg. small business, bouncy castle hire, entertainment) taking place at the centre needs to be covered by its own public liability insurance. If you’re a small community group we can help you out with this.

No one tries to break things, but accidents happen. Let us know and we can work together to make sure the centre continues to be a great space for everyone to use.
Feel free to talk to us if you would like to store your stuff here, we’ve got lockers. You can use them.
TIME OF HIRE: SET UP AND PACK UP:
It takes time to set up and pack down, we know this. You’re booking includes a 15 minute window either side to ensure you have time to do so, if you need more just let us know.
A clean space feels good. If you leave it the way you found it, everyone is happy!
(Just don’t forget the bins – they can be emptied into the big green bins out the back. We don’t cope well with smells before our morning coffee).
We have a kitchen. Feel free to use it, but bear in mind it is a shared space so be nice to other people using it too.
We care about you, and your safety is really important to us. A couple of things to think about:
If Milligan crew aren’t in the building, please lock the front door behind you, you don’t need to be a welcoming committee to the general public. There are contact details on the front door if other people need to get in touch with us.
At night, we recommend you park in the front carpark and you leave with a friend
